This job did not relate to Rev. Bamber's parish work, but to her voluntary work for organisations such as Hartlepool Women's Aid (for whom I eventually also worked specifically) and the Guiding movement. The work was largely routine clerical work, although there were sometimes more unusual tasks, such has helping Rev. Bamber to set up a new personal computer, and later to also get her online. It was of course required that I be discreet and have a good grasp of confidentiality, as well as being efficient at administrative tasks. |
