This post was a part-time, term-time-only post taken on by the good offices of Rev. Bamber, who was the Hon. Treasurer of the charity, and whose Personal Clerical Assistant I was at the time. In this time, although my work concerned only the accounts of the organisation, I became familiar with a good deal of its work with the victims of domestic abuse, and in particular with the issues facing a small charity. I learnt to use the Kubernesis accounts package, which is an unusual package expressly designed for small charities or church groups, and which gave me a good grounding in accounting practice. |
